Nana Shiomi RE (Japanese)

Nana Shiomi came to London in 1989, after completing a postgraduate degree at the Tama Art University in Tokyo. Shiomi gained her second MA at the Royal College of Art in 1991, and in 1992 she was chosen to be one of the Artists in the College’s “1992 Six Artists Portfolio”. Since then she has held regular exhibitions of her work in London, Tokyo and Italy. Every year since 1997 her prints have been selected for the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, in London. Shiomi is Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art, University of East London, and Tama Art University, and a correspondent for the Japanese art magazine, BT/Bijutsu Techo. Her work is held in numerous public collections including Royal College of Art, Victoria & Albert Museum, Tama Art University Museum (Tokyo, Japan), Wimbledon School of Art, Ashmolean Museum, Brunel University.
